Precision Turning for Aerospace Parts Programs Available at Intrex Aerospace
Intrex Aerospace is proud to offer precision turning services for aerospace parts programs. Our facility is both AS9100 and ISO 9001:2000 certified and ITAR registered for work on defense-related projects. Our turning lathes are capable of producing parts up to 10” x 40”. We specialize in producing thin-walled components. As part of our continued investment in our production capabilities, we’ve also added a dedicated flange cell containing two high-speed, Mori Seiki Model NZL-2500 CNC lathes with automated bar loaders and finished parts retrieval system. This allows us to produce a variety of turned parts with flange diameters from less than 1” up to 8”.
We maintain an on-time delivery rate of between 95 and 100 percent through our use of an Epicor ERP/MRP system. We are experienced with producing parts in line with kanban, dock to stock and just in time manufacturing principles. We have also invested in an IQS software package to our Epicor system. This allows us to provide additional quality assurance for our customers and helps us operate with a PPM well below the industry standard.
In addition to precision turning for parts, Intrex specializes in providing program management services. We can provide engineering support during prototyping and FAIs, and use the information we gather to reduce the lead times for productions. Intrex also has access to additional resources, such as larger manufacturing equipment, through our affiliation with Demmer. We can manage many special processes including dry film lubrication, anodizing, mag particle inspection, powder coating and more. Intrex also has experience providing assembly and kitting services to deliver completed aircraft components.
