Titanium Machining Services for Aerospace Defense and Space
Intrex Aerospace offers precision titanium machining services for aerospace defense and space. Our facilities are both ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified, and we are ITAR registered for work on USML-controlled components for defense projects. We have 4-axis CNC milling capabilities for parts with dimensions up to 25” x 25” x 25”and 5-axis CNC turning capabilities for components with dimension up to 10” x 40”. We specialize in machining thin-walled components and flanges. Our skilled machine operators can work with a number of other aerospace materials besides titanium, including stainless steel, aluminum, hastelloy, monel, cold roll steel and more. Additionally, as an affiliate of Demmer Corporation, Intrex has access to larger machines and additional resources from one of the nation’s top defense and aerospace manufacturers.
Intrex has a thorough quality-control program in place to ensure our titanium machining process is efficient and produces parts with the critical dimensions our customers demand. We utilize many physical and statistical tools in our quality-control process including CMMs in a climate-controlled room, SPCs and RPKs. We’ve invested in IQS software for our Epicor ERP/MRP system to provide additional quality assurance capabilities. Key members of our staff have also undergone Six Sigma Yellow Belt training as part of our audited AS9100 re-certification process. Our strict adherence to quality control practices helps us maintain a PPM well below the industry standard.
