Intrex Aerospace Manufacturing Facility
Intrex Aerospace manufacturing is modern, clean and well lit. It is located in Thornton, Colorado. We have 73,000 sq. ft., available for production and offices. It is almost triple in size from our previous Louisville facility. Our building is a pivotal part of our future growth plans and our continued commitment to our customer base.
The new aerospace manufacturing facility is located approximately 10 miles east of our previous location. During our new site evaluation process, it was important that we remained in the proximity of our previous address (North Denver Metro). Employee retention played a significant role in our site evaluation process. Our employees and our Intrex Aerospace culture go hand-in-glove. We are pleased to report that we were able to retain all our employees, through the move. Our employee retention played a significant role in the smooth transition of our aerospace manufacturing capabilities from our previous facility to our new facility.
Our new facility with our expanded manufacturing floor space greatly increases our ability to respond to our customer requests for adding both capacity and capability. Since our move, we have added a new machine cell consisting of a 9-axis Okuma CNC Turn/Mill with a Fanuc robot load/unload system. This is the first of several CNC machines that are in our capital plans. The additional floor space in our aerospace manufacturing facility also gives us room to expand our CNC Swiss machining area.
Our new building has added significant amounts of office space and conference rooms. We can now comfortably host much larger groups of visitors for presentations and tours. Through Front Range Community College, we recently hosted a group of 50 people representing community colleges and education development from across the country with an interest in aerospace manufacturing.
