Engineering and Quality Control
At Intrex Aerospace, engineering and quality control drive our staff . As aerospace manufacturers we understand the value of engineering and quality. Many of our machinists and quality control personnel have 30+years experience in aerospace manufacturing.
All of our machinists participate in a multi-level operator training program that involves instruction, testing and grading of the skills needed to operate successfully in a aerospace manufacturing environment. This training is controlled with our IQS quality software system. It is internally monitored and audited. Our entire staff recently received training from the Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technology (CAMT) on lean manufacturing and the incumbent cost reduction benefits for aerospace manufacturers. Key members of our staff have also undergone Six Sigma Yellow Belt training with CAMT. This training is part of our audited AS9100B re-certification process.
Our aerospace manufacturers are particularly skilled at machining and lathe turning thin-walled components and work with varied materials such as titanium, hastelloy, aluminum and stainless steel. We’re experienced working with high-mix, low-volume program business. We maintain a 95 to 100 percent on-time delivery rate and a PPM well below the industry standard. We’re also ITAR rated for defense manufacturing. We constantly strive to improve lead times through the use of our Epicor ERP/MRP system.
