Multi-Axis Machining
Producing quality aerospace components in an efficient manner requires multi-axis machines. Intrex Aerospace has made significant investments in multi-axis machine tools. Because of our commitment to this investment, we can produce tight-tolerance, high-quality components in an efficient economical manner. As an ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified aerospace manufacturer, we have the facility, experience, and quality control systems necessary to produce the high-quality precision machined components the aerospace, defense, and space industry requires.
Our machine shop has multiple CNC multi-axis machines (vertical and horizontal machine centers, and 5-axis CNC turning lathes). Multi-axis machines greatly reduce the number of setups required for machining complex shapes. This setup reduction also reduces the error stack up caused by having to move the workpiece into different fixtures or moving the workpiece from machine to machine. Our 5-axis simultaneous machining capability allows us to produce the most complex machined shapes.
We produce multiple configurations of thin-wall/turn-mill machined parts in a variety of sizes and materials. We can produce these type parts efficiently in high, medium, and low volumes. We are also ITAR compliant, allowing us to produce parts for government aerospace defense projects.
Program Management
Intrex Aerospace also provides complete program management. Our Epicor software system monitors and controls the scheduling, throughput, and reporting of all our production work as it flows through our shop. We also provide engineering support, management of outsourcing of finishing processes, light assembly, kitting, and more.
Demand Management
Our approach is proactive in meeting our customers’ needs. One of the features of our Epicor ERP/MRP system software is the ability to integrate with our customers’ management system. With access to our supplier’s forecast portal, we integrate our demand management. This allows us to make our production decisions, anticipating our customers’ future needs. This also properly aligns our schedule with our customers’ needs. That is how we can maintain an on-time delivery of 98+%.
