Having a state-of-the-art automated quality management software gives us the ability to comply and better check our quality, improve our efficiencies and control our costs.
uniPoint, is the quality system software we use to achieve our goals. It has many of the software tools needed for a successful aerospace contract manufacturing operation. It is fully integrated with our Epicor ERP/MRP system. It also provides meaningful data and KPI’s, necessary for an advanced aerospace contract manufacturer. With the uniPoint quality management software, you have all the necessary software tools to comply with ISO and meet the strict standards of AS9100 (Aerospace) certification.
The uniPoint system is modular. You select the modules needed specific to your business and manufacturing needs. Some of the modules we utilize for our system give us the ability to quantify, mitigate and visualize risk factors. It also gives us the capability to quantify compliance status and address areas for improvement.
Our QMS internal software solution also let us track training progress and overall employee performance, and gives us easy accessibility to the necessary tools for monitoring employee productivity.
Further definition of some of the modules we utilize are as follows:
- Education & Training: This was a big one, as it replaced old spreadsheet-based systems of tracking and training. The internal software solutions let you create employee surveys to track training progress and overall employee performance.
- AS9100 Forms – The AS9102, Rev. B/C First Article Inspection forms certify that each sample unit was produced and inspected according to the customer’s specifications, and includes all physical, material and chemical test data relative to the part specification. This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes documentation requirements for the First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Inspection Manager – Allows data to be imported directly from CMMs into our inspection records.
- Inspection – Perform and maintain all first article, in-process or final inspection records.
- Inspection Mobile – Collects data from all inspections, provides in-process data monitoring, and securely stores inspection records.
- Key Indicators – The uniPoint Key Indicators dashboard is a repository of over 800 Quality Metrics, which can be displayed inside user-definable panels for each user. The metrics can be set to refresh automatically on a time cycle, so you easily view the health of your entire quality management system.
- Trend Analysis – Total cost of quality, and module specific trending available with extensive filtering.
- Document Control – All company records are managed with revision, approval, distribution, and review controls.
- Tooling & Calibration – All supplier related maintenance or calibration is tracked. All company-owned tools and equipment can be added to a preventative maintenance schedule, with usage tracked as well.
- Corrective Action – Create and manage all supplier CPA’s .
